Just another manic monday

Monday March 9th 2009
Weight 10.2 lbs

Mom had to stay home with me because she is still feeling bad from her cold. And to make things worse, I poodled on the carpet this morning and on Dad's new Sports Illustrated. Mom and I stayed in bed most of the day but she did take me for a couple walks. She took me to City Lounge and got me my favorite flosser twisty toy. I poodled and piddled in the right places the rest of the day under Mom's watchful eye. It really sucked when she put me in my crate twice today for no reason. Also, quick note, it seems like I'm no longer allowed on the couch. My new bed is on the floor which is a total bummer. In memory of my friend the couch, I've attached a picture of me "hanging out" on the couch from yesterday.

Favorite thing: Mom being sick and staying home with me New Stuff: flosser twisty chew

Sunday fun with the fam

Sunday March 8th 2009

Sunday was interesting. My Mom was feeling really miserable and it was Uncle Chris's surprise housewarming party that I had to be ready for. Uncle Chris was totally clueless despite the fact that Grandma was making a salad at 10 in the morning. We all disappeared on him and then he came over to Mrs. States' house for the big surprise. My favorite part of the day was the big easter bunny that Auntie Laura gave me. She is so sweet. She is my favorite aunt ever.

After the big party we drove home. Dad drove and listened to Mr. Howard on the radio while I slept the whole way just like Mom. I gotta admit I was pretty confused when we got home and had a few bathroom accidents. Mom and Dad have been pretty cool about it, but I can tell they're not happy.

Favorite Thing: Auntie Laura (see pic)
New Stuff: Bun-bun, doggie bed, two sweaters, pet gate

Lazy Day in the Burbs

Saturday March 7th 2009
Dad got me up early, and we went running outside in the suburbs. We woke up Mom, and she has a really bad cold. I stayed home with my Grandparents when Mom and Dad went to Petco and Petsmart. They got me a bunch of toys, and they met a man who had a miniature pinscher and a great dane named Samson & Delilah. My favorite part of the day was sitting in the yard playing catch with my uncle Andrew. My least favorite part was when I got into a fight with my friend Sherbert the cat. Sherbert snuck attacked me behind the couch and then he tried to attack me a whole bunch with his paws. Thank god he's declawed. Also I forgot all my piddle pad training. I went piddle and poodle all over my grandparents house. I also had alot of fun painting with my Grandpa. Now I have white whiskers!
Favorite thing: my new friend Sherbert
New Stuff: Screaming gorilla, spiky rubber dumbell for teething, yellow duckie blanket, laser pointer, and puppy parenting book for my Mom & Dad

Big Day Out

Friday March 6th 2009
Today was really wild. It started like any other day when Mom and Dad went out and left for work. Next thing I know Dad comes home right during my afternoon nap. We packed up all my stuff in the car and drove to see my Mom in the city at her work. We drove in the city which was fun, parked the car, and walked to Mom's work. Dad hid me in a backpack and snuck me in to see Mom's office. I got to meet tons and tons of people. It was super fun, we hung out for a few hours, and everyone told me how cute I am. (as if I didn't know...) After Mom's work, we got back in the car and we drove a long time to a place called Philly. Once we got there it smelled so different. And I got to meet my grandparents and my big brother Sherbert (the cat). And I got to explore a big house with lots of rooms and places to piddle.

Favorite Thing: Meeting my grandparents
New Stuff: Lots of new friends

Home Alone 2 (Big Prank!)

Thursday March 5, 2009
Dear Diary,
Today was my second day home alone. Dad came home pretty early and took me for a walk. While we were out, Mom came home (even though she told Dad she was going out to dinner) and she cleaned up my piddle pads. I piddled perfectly for the second day in a row. Then she sat on the couch and waited for us to come home. Me and Dad came home and didn't notice Mom on the couch for five minutes or so while we were singing and playing. Mom was sitting really still. Then when Dad bent over to clean up the already cleaned up piddle pads, Mom yelled "They're clean!" Dad jumped about 5 feet high! Mom really scared the piddle out of us.

Favorite Thing: Snoozing on the couch until Mom & Dad come home
New Stuff: nothing :(

Home Alone!

Wednesday March 4th 2009

Today was my very first day home alone while Mom and Dad went to work! I have a feeling they were worried about me. But Mom came home early in the afternoon to check on me. I told her I was fine, I had everything under control from ontop of the kitchen table. Mom was confused as to how I got up there, but I think she understood how good I was when she saw my perfect 3 for 3 all day on my piddle pads.

Favorite thing: Chewing on Dad's Sneaker
New Stuff: Crate

And My Name is...

Tuesday March 3rd, 2009
Dear Diary,
On Monday, Mom and Dad finally came up with a good name for me. They thought about Peanut Butter, Sherbert Jr., Johnny Nashville, and finally decided on Hamilton. I think it's a good name, don't you?

My Dad stayed home with me all Monday and Tuesday. I think he's happy because I'm getting really good at using my piddle pads. And guess what you get when you're good? Pig ear!! Delish!

Also, it's been cold lately and I'm always shivering on our walks, so Mom and Dad (mostly Mom) thought it would be a good ideal to get me a jacket. It's a green parka with a furry hood. Hopefully Mom and Dad will take a picture of me next time I'm wearing it.

Sniff you later,
Hamilton
